LITTLETON - Down six goals, Lewis-Palmer coach Hal Jordan called a timeout with 25 seconds remaining to calm his team down and get as many seniors on the ice one last time.

It was the kind of bittersweet moment that seemed fitting for the Rangers, who ended a season mirrored in both extreme highs and excruciating lows with a 7-1 loss to top-seed Regis Jesuit in the second round of the state playoffs on Friday at the Ice Ranch.

"Being able to play with the seniors I've played with the last four years was a great honor," forward Christian Perry said. "It was a great way to finish it.
