COMMERCE CITY - A Golden Goal header by Ryan Self gave Air Academy a 1-0 victory over Centaurus in the 4A soccer final.

Self scored with 3:29 left in overtime. The Kadets finish the season with a 20-0 record.

The win did not come easily. With 1:09 left in regulation, Air Academy defender Andrew Hess used an intentional hand ball to prevent a Centaurus goal.

Cristian Rice missed the penalty kick that almost certainly would have won the game for Centaurus. The kick sailed over the crossbar.
