Grand Junction Central 11, Coronado 5

At Coronado: The Cougars led 1-0 lead in the third inning but Grand Junction Central then went on a tear, scoring 10 straight runs in the next three frames of the nonconference game.

Coronado put up four runs in the sixth, but it wasn't enough as the Warriors (2-4) snapped a four-game losing streak.

Graehame Webb went 2 for 3 with two RBIs for the Cougars (3-2), while teammates Bryce McKee and Tucker Travins also finished with two hits apiece.

Dolores Huerta Prep 15, CSCS 3

At Grace Center: The Colorado Springs Christian School gave up three home runs and couldn't overcome a six-run inning by the Scorpions at the St. Mary's Pirate Invitational to remain winless this season.

Ben Washburn produced an RBI-double to lead the Lions (0-4).

Gino Franklin, Conner Dierksen and Adam Vasquez each knocked in a home run for Dolores Huerta Prep (4-1). The Scorpions' Angel Salinas pitched a complete game with six strikeouts.

Olathe 12, Florence 10

At Grace Center: The Huskies led 10-3 in the fourth inning before Olathe rallied and scored nine runs in the final two innings to pull off the comeback win in the Pirate Invitational.

Austin Lorenz finished with two RBIs while Garrett Proud, Devin Pryor, Rutherford and Dennis Adamic each batted in a run for Florence (2-4).

Proud also pitched 5 1/3 innings with 10 strikeouts.

Pueblo County 14, Mesa Ridge 4

Runyon Complex: The Grizzlies (2-3) suffered their second straight loss of the season after allowing seven runs in the third inning of the nonconference game.

Ryan Downs led Pueblo County (5-2) by going 3 for 4 with four RBIs.


Air Academy 22, St. Mary's 1

At Pine Creek Turf Field: The Kadets (2-3) bounced back from a loss earlier this week by tallying a season-best 22 goals.

On Monday, Air Academy fell 9-6 to Windsor.

St. Mary's (1-5) suffered its second straight loss.

Legend 12, Lewis-Palmer 8

At Lewis-Palmer: The Rangers (1-3) fell behind 5-1 in the first quarter and couldn't recover, eventually suffering their second straight loss.

Legend (2-1) has two games in a row.


Grandview 3, Liberty 0

At Legacy Stadium: Grandview knocked in two goals in the second half to run away with the nonconference win and improve to 4-0.

The Lancers remain winless at 0-6-1.

Legend 4, Doherty 0

Garry Berry Stadium: Legend improved to 3-0-2 after scoring all of its goals in the second half of the nonconference game.

Doherty dropped to 0-3.
