Rye 14, Florence 8

At Rye: Florence started hot, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning, but Rye responded by scoring five in the bottom of the first and seven in the bottom of the second in a nonconference win over Florence.

Colorado Academy 17, St. Mary's 6
At Grace Center: Colorado Academy scored 13 runs in the third inning as the Mustangs claimed a nonconference win over St. Mary's. 

Josh White was 2 for 3 with two RBIs for the Pirates (0-2).


Cheyenne Mountain 14, Windsor 2

At Windsor: Jack Eagan had three goals and two assists to lead the Indians (2-0) to a win.

Jack Paul and Wiley Burkett also had 3 goals.


Manitou Springs 5, Bayfield 0

At Manitou Springs: Manitou Springs scored a pair of goals in the first half and three in the second for a nonconference win over Bayfield.

The Mustangs have started the season strong at 2-0 and have not allowed a goal against yet this season.

Coronado 4, Pueblo South 3, OT

At Coronado: Sarah Ford scored twice as the Cougars beat Pueblo South in overtime. Hannah Burgess and Isabella Janney also scored for Coronado. Brooke Williams had two assists.

Kylie Anderson stopped 12 shots in goal as Coronado locked in its second win of the season.
Discovery Canyon 2, Bear Creek 1

At Bear Creek: Discovery Canyon racked up a two-goal lead in the first half, which was enough to outlast Bear Creek in a nonconference win.

The Thunder are 2-1.

Pueblo Centennial 11, Fountain-Fort Carson 1

At Dutch Clark Stadium: Tori Mitrick scored four goals for Pueblo Centennial and Fernanda Rios had a hat trick in a nonconference win over Fountain-Fort Carson.

The Trojans are 0-1-2.

Salida 2, Evangelical Christian 0

At Evangelical Christian Academy: ECA fell in its season opener in a nonconference loss to Salida.

St. Mary's 7, Pagosa Springs 0
At Grace Center: Marisa Shigio and Mary Brummel scored two goals each as the Pirates cruised to a nonconference win.

Sarah Slominski, Faith Heery and Cassidy Sorensen also found the back of the net for St. Mary's (1-0). Brummel also had a pair of assists.

Becca Dunbaugh was credited with one save in the shutout.
