GIRLS’ SWIMMING AND DIVING

Manitou Springs 122, La Junta 52

At Manitou Springs: Sydney Dolloff-Holt led with two wins in the 50-yard freestyle (26.14) and 500 freestyle (5:54.53) events, and the Mustangs swept the 200 freestyle, 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays to win the Class 4A Tri-Peaks League dual meet.

Coco Stevens also captured two individuals titles in the 100 butterfly (1:15.22) and 200 freestyle (2:16.72) for Manitou Springs (3-1, 2-0).

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Pueblo East 62, Palmer 35

At Pueblo East: The Terrors faced a 33-16 halftime deficit and were held to single digits in the second and third quarters against Pueblo East (6-3).

Palmer (3-9) has dropped five straight games.

The Vanguard School 44, Florence 39

At Florence: The Coursers (5-1, 1-0) jumped to a 14-6 first quarter and never looked back in the Class 3A Tri-Peaks League game.

Florence (5-5, 2-2) has lost two straight games.

ICE HOCKEY

Rampart 5, Palmer 2

At Sertich Ice Arena: The Rams broke up a 2-2 tie by scoring three unanswered goals in the final 3:18 of the Highlands Ice Hockey League game.

In the final sequence, Rampart (7-5, 6-4 league) scored on a penalty shot and an empty netter before earning another goal with 40 seconds left.

Palmer remains winless at 0-7 overall.
