At Discovery Canyon: Corah Price homered twice and struck out four batters, and Discovery Canyon (12-3-1, 5-1 5A/4A Pikes Peak Athletic Conference) scored 17 times in the third inning to break open a close game and close out Palmer Ridge (10-5, 2-4).
Sami Edwards drove in four runs, and Amber Rees and Price added three RBIs apiece for the Thunder, who remained tied with Vista Ridge for second place in the league standings behind undefeated Air Academy.
Discovery Canyon plays host to Vista Ridge on Wednesday in the final league game for both teams.

Wolves starting pitcher Chloe Ewing struck out four and allowed only two hits in 3 1-3 innings and also went 4 for 4 with three RBI and three runs scored.

At Sand Creek: Cheyenne Mountain (13-3, 3-2 5A/4A Pikes Peak) scored nine unanswered runs late to foil an upset attempt by pesky Sand Creek (2-13, 0-5), which dropped its ninth straight.
Brook Reid had a hit and a run scored for the Scorpions, who rallied for two runs in the third inning to pull to within 4-2 before the Indians plated six runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth.

At District 20 Stadium: Christian Jensen made eight saves to help Liberty (2-7-1) play to a scoreless tie against Mountain Vista (4-4-3).
Kate Hatchell, Madeleine Bourgois, Tina Bomberg and Mackenzie Dudevoir had shots for the Lancers, who have gone 2-2-1 in the their last five games after starting the season 0-5.
At Eisenhower Golf Course: Liberty’s foursome of Brandon Bervig, Lucas Howell, Tyler Barcelon and Austin Shelton finished third in the team standings after shooting an 8-under 64 in the Titan Scramble on the venue's Blue course.
TCA, with the team consisting of Liam O’Halloran, Tyler Trogstad, Connor Holien, Neil Baker and Ryan Beckman, finished tied for fifth at 6-under, followed by Woodland Park (-5) and Lewis-Palmer (-4). Palmer Ridge and Air Academy both recorded rounds of 3-under par to share eighth place.
Cherry Creek won the event with a 10-under-par 62, with Loveland right behind at 63.
At Lone Tree Golf Club and Hotel: Pine Creek senior Andrew Doyle, who qualified for the upcoming 5A state tournament last week with a third-place showing at regionals, shot a 3-over-par 75 to finish in a tie for fifth place overall to record the area’s top individual finish.
Doyle’s younger brother Luke, along with Cheyenne Mountain freshman Connor Moberly, each carded rounds of 88.
