Rampart has turned to an alumnus to help turn its baseball program around.
Jake Huard is taking over the program, Rams athletic director Andy Parks announced via email.
Huard, a physical education teacher at Rampart, was an assistant coach with the football program.
He will step down from football in order to turn his full attention to baseball, the email read.
Rampart went 4-15 this season (3-9 in 5A Colorado Springs Metro League play) under Daniel Jackson.
The team was 5-13 last year, 10-10 in 2015, both under Jackson.
The Rams last finished with a winning record in 2013, when they went 12-8 and lost in District play.
