The Classical Academy's Tanner Norman ran a 9:04.97 in the 3,200 meters Friday at the Pueblo Twilight meet at Dutch Clark Stadium, setting an all-classification Colorado record. He beat the previous state record held by Brent Vaughn of 5A Smoky Hill in 2003 in 9 minutes, 5.89 seconds. Norman now holds the fastest Colorado 3,200 run by a high school athlete.
