At Don Breese Stadium: Jordan Taft scored twice in the first half and Kayla Glaser registered eight saves as Palmer Ridge (6-2-1, 2-0 4A/5A Pikes Peak) beat Cheyenne Mountain (4-3-1, 1-1) for the first time in school history, snapping a seven-game winless streak that dated back to 2011.
Natalie Bame and Emily Nguyen had assists for the Bears, who stretched their winning streak to four games.
Rampart 2, Pine Creek 0
At District 20 Stadium: Almost a year to the day earlier, Rampart surprised Pine Creek and ended the Eagles’ nine-year unbeaten reign on the 5A Colorado Springs Metro League.
The Rams did it again Thursday.
Jade Kinsey and Beacon Meier scored first-half goals as Rampart (6-2, 2-0) gained the inside track to repeating as league champs. Last season, the Rams broke a 30-year drought, sharing the regular-season crown with Pine Creek (3-4, 1-2) and Doherty.
Liberty 3, Doherty 0
At Garry Berry Stadium: Julia Dessart scored two goals and Courtney Cowles added another on a penalty kick to go with an assist as Liberty (2-5-1, 2-0 5A CS Metro) moved into a first-place tie in the league standings with Rampart.
The Lancers meet the Rams on Tuesday in a first-place showdown at District 20 Stadium.
Colorado Springs School 10, Ellicott 0
At Ellicott: Katherine Hatch scored five goals, Kylie Crow added three of her own and Ali Graham added five assists to power Colorado Springs School (1-3) to its first win of the season by blowing out Ellicott (0-9).

At Jeffco Stadium: Harrison had a strong showing, finishing fourth in the boys’ team standings and third in the girls, thanks in large part to solid relays.
The Panthers took first in the boys’ 400, 800 and 1,600 relay races, while Tyrese VanHorne won the 400.
Meanwhile, Harrison’s girls claimed victories in the 400, 800 and medley relay and placed third in the 1,600 relay.
Also, Manitou Springs sprinter Jayden Omi won the 200, while Liberty’s Katelyn McMoore claimed the high jump title.
Falcon 5, Cheyenne Mountain 4
At Cheyenne Mountain: Kody Sellers hit a two-run homer, Trenton Kibler added two RBIs, and Falcon rallied for two runs in the seventh inning to stun Cheyenne Mountain to deal the Indians their first league loss.
Jack Denker, Chase McCleary, Cam Buckler and Jason Randall had RBIs for Cheyenne Mountain (8-2, 6-1 4A/5A Pikes Peak), who led 3-1 after three innings and 4-3 heading into the seventh and saw their eight-game winning streak come to an end.
Falcon (5-5, 2-4) starter Brady Sides struck out six batters in three innings.
Coronado 14, Liberty 3 (6 innings)
At Liberty: Bryce McKee homered and drove in five runs, Tucker Travins allowed only one earned run in a complete-game effort and also had three RBIs, and Coronado (4-6, 1-3 5A CS Metro) scored six runs in the first and sixth innings to run-rule Liberty.
Austin Franco went 3 for 3 to pace the offensive attack for the Lancers (1-8, 1-2), who also got a 2-for-3 game from Sean Conboy.
Discovery Canyon 12, Lewis-Palmer 11
At Discovery Canyon: Mark Reyes’ walkoff two-run homer won it for Discovery Canyon (5-4, 3-3 4A/5A Pikes Peak), who rallied from an early six-run deficit before blowing a two-run lead in the seventh.
The Thunder trailed 6-0 before scoring four runs in the third, then got a Ben Brady three-run homer in the fourth that tied the game at 7. Reyes’ run-scoring double in the fifth capped a three-run rally for a 10-8 Discovery Canyon lead.
Christian Holden went 3 for 3 with three doubles and two RBI to pace the Rangers (8-3, 4-2), who lost their second straight.
Pine Creek 10, Rampart 0 (5 innings)
At Pine Creek: Riley Cornelio hit for the cycle and struck out 10 in a complete-game one-hitter, Justin Olson homered twice, and Pine Creek continued its assault on league opponents by blanking Rampart for the Eagles’ fourth shutout in their last five games.
Pine Creek (10-2, 6-0) has outscored its Metro League opponents 68-2.
Evan Faucher added two RBIs for the Eagles, who banged out 13 hits, including nine for extra bases.
Palmer 11, Doherty 9
At Spurgeon Field: Mason Collier went 3 for 4 with three RBIs, and Cale Fields also drove in three runs as Palmer (3-7, 2-2 5A Colorado Springs Metro League) rallied for four runs in the sixth to take the lead for good and earn a split of the two-game series.
The Spartans (3-9, 1-5), who won the opener 14-8 on Tuesday, erupted for three runs in the sixth to take an 8-7 lead.
Justin Briggs and Alfayad Khan each had two-hit games for Palmer.
ECA 9, Manitou Springs 6
At El Pomar: Cameron Rawlings’ two-run triple snapped a 5-5 tie in the sixth inning, propelling ECA (6-4) to a win over Manitou Springs (3-7).
Andrew DeRuiter went 3 for 3 with a home run for ECA.
Air Academy 4, Vista Ridge 1
At Vista Ridge: Grant Shandy went the distance for Air Academy, striking out eight and allowing only four hits, and Bo Powers had three RBIs as the Kadets (4-7, 4-2 4A/5A Pikes Peak) broke a two-game losing streak by earning a split with Vista Ridge (2-9, 1-5).
Nick Baba had three hits to pace the Wolves.
Rampart 4, Liberty 3
At Liberty: Rampart claimed two singles and two doubles victories to narrowly beat its District 20 rival.
Grace Qiu and Zoe Hayward earned straight-set victories at Nos. 2 and 3 singles to lead Rampart, while Hana Kimmey scored a convincing 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles for Liberty.
Doherty 5, Fountain-Fort Carson 2
At Doherty: A sweep of doubles competition powered Doherty past Fountain-Fort Carson.
In addition, Maggie Frye won a three-set match at No. 3 singles to add to the day for the Spartans.
F-FC was paced by Eun Koak and Madison Sabala, who both won in straight sets at Nos. 1 and 2 singles.
