Tuesday's prep roundup: Meyers has career night for Palmer boys on the way to OT win over Sand Creek

Palmer 80, Sand Creek 76 (OT)

At Palmer: Darien Meyers had a career night for the Terrors as he exploded for 33 points in an overtime thriller over Sand Creek. Isaiah Robinson also had an impressive showing for Palmer (5-5) with 26 points, followed by Brayden Grantz with 11.  

The Scorpions fall to 2-7.


Sierra 41, Pueblo East 37

At Pueblo East: Sierra entered the fourth quarter of a nonconference game against Pueblo East (4-2) down by one, but the Stallions (3-3) galloped to victory, outscoring East 14-9 in the fourth quarter.

Liberty 65, Sand Creek 38

At Sand Creek: Jenna Smith led the Lancers with 17 points, followed by Jayda Lyon with 15 as Liberty (6-2) breezed past Sand Creek (5-3).


Denver East 4, Lewis-Palmer 2

At DU-Magness: After trailing Denver East by one through the second period, Sam Kleinsmith tied the Foothills Conference clash early in the third to give the Rangers a chance, but Denver East scored a pair of goals in the final five minutes to lock it away.

Jack Sheffield and Levi Polon also had goals for the Rangers. Reece Colson had 23 saves for the Rangers (1-6).
