Air Academy 7, Vista Ridge 3

At Air Academy: 4A/3A No. 1 Air Academy (7-2, 1-0 5A/4A Pikes Peak) scored five times in the second inning and added two more in the fourth to put this game away.

Payton and Karsen Romines each had two RBIs to lead the Kadets, while Cassidy Horn pitched a complete game, giving up two earned runs and striking out seven.

The Wolves (3-5-1, 0-1) scored all three of their runs in the fifth inning, but it wasn't enough to complete the comeback.

Katey Kelly had a two-RBI single for Vista Ridge.

Cheyenne Mountain 24, Palmer Ridge 21

At Palmer Ridge: This was not a football game, although the score sure resembled one.

The game featured several huge momentum swings, as Cheyenne Mountain (1-2) took an 8-0 lead in the first, only to surrender 17 runs over the first three innings.

Pikes Peak region 4A/3A No. 3 Palmer Ridge (4-1) led 21-11 entering the seventh inning, but the Indians put up 13 runs in the top of the inning for the improbable comeback.

Sam Rippley and Kylie Walker each drove in four runs for the Bears.

No stats were reported for Cheyenne Mountain.

Discovery Canyon 15, Sand Creek 1

At Sand Creek: Amber Rees had a home run and a double, driving in five runs, and Sami Edwards matched that with five RBIs to lead the 4A/3A No. 2 Thunder (4-3, 1-0 5A/4A Pikes Peak).

Discovery Canyon did most of its damage in an eight-run first inning, then tacked on three in the second and four in the fourth to end the game after five innings.

Ariel Cowan drove in the lone run for the Scorpions (0-4, 0-1).

St. Mary's 20, Sheridan 0

At St. Mary's: The Pirates got RBIs from nine players to put up a 13-run second inning and a seven-run third to end this one after three.

Lana DeBakey drove in four runs, while Morgan Trechter and Anna Sniezek each tallied three RBIs for the Pirates (3-6).

Falcon 11, Lewis-Palmer 3

At Lewis-Palmer: The Falcons (5-2, 1-0 5A/4A Pikes Peak) opened conference play with an impressive road win.

Bre Shaffer was the lone bright spot for the Rangers (4-4, 0-1) going 3 for 4 with two RBIs.

No stats were reported for Falcon.

BOYS' GOLF

Pine Creek Invitational

At Pine Creek Golf Club: Aric Roberts shot a 1-over-par 73 to take the individual title by four strokes over Doherty's Riley Dunlap and Coronado's Luke Travins.

Pine Creek's Andrew Doyle was fourth with a 78, and Liberty's Lucas Howell shot 80 to tie for fifth with Rampart's Cameron Como and Steven Roschke.

Brandon Bervig (Liberty), Andrew Stroh (Doherty) and Harrison Mace (Discovery Canyon) rounded out the top 10.

Doherty took the team title with a score of 246, while Liberty was two strokes behind and Rampart finished three strokes behind the Spartans.

Host Pine Creek's A squad was fourth at 255, and the B squad was fifth at 263.

Pueblo South Invitational

At Elmwood Golf Course: 3A Manitou Springs finished fourth as a team in a tournament with mostly 4A teams. The Mustangs shot a 261 to finish 23 shots back of champion Alamosa.

Cañon City tied for eighth, while Florence was 11th.

Individually, Manitou Springs placed all three golfers in the top 20, with Lucas Culver 11th, Bryon Baca 14th and Preston Salsgiver tied for 18th with Florence's Jaxson Phillips.

BOYS' SOCCER

Liberty 3, Thompson Valley 1

At Littleton Public School Stadium: Liberty got a goal and an assist from Dawson Calloway, and Caleb Norwood and Ryan Klimek each added a score for the Lancers (1-3), while Brandon

Shaugnessy chipped in with two assists.

VOLLEYBALL

Palmer Ridge 3, Palmer 0

At Palmer Ridge: Jenna McGann had 11 kills and Jillian McGann added 18 assists and seven digs as the 4A No. 3 Bears (4-0) defeated the Terrors 25-13, 25-13, 25-18.

Megan Skahill led Palmer Ridge with 15 digs.

No stats were provided for Palmer (1-1).

FIELD HOCKEY
