Doherty 58, Palmer 14
At Palmer: Doherty finished off an unbeaten league season and became the 5A Colorado Springs Metro League champions after defeating Palmer.
Collin Metzgar got a win by fall in the 120-pound class and Jack Mann won by fall in the 152 class as part of a string of Doherty victories.
Palmer got victories from Nicolas Alvarez (106 pounds), Dre-Son Scruggs (145) and Floyd Adams (182).
Pine Creek 67, Liberty 12
At Liberty: Cameron Foisy won a 9-2 decision in the 126 class and Zachery Vannaman won his 160 bout by fall as a host of Pine Creek wrestlers notched victories.
The two victories for Liberty, both by fall, came from Jason Waters in the 138 class and from Michael Cornelius at 145.
Five victories for Pine Creek came by forfeit.
Coronado 52, Rampart 21
At Rampart: Coronado finished the league season 5-1 with a victory over Rampart.
The Cougars got victories in 10 matches, including Angel Flores by fall at 126 and Nicholas Cote in the 170 class via a 6-1 decision.
In amongst four victories, Rampart got wins from Lance Peltier at 106 by fall and a 7-6 decision victory for Paul Diest at 145.
Mesa Ridge 65, Widefield 51
At Mesa Ridge: Pikes Peak 4A No. 1 Mesa Ridge (14-3, 10-1 4A Colorado Springs Metro) bounced back from a loss to TCA on Monday with the win over Widefield (8-9, 5-5) in a game of dynamic duos.
Junior Chloe Welch and sophomore Ashley Bowen filled up the stat sheet for Mesa Ridge. Welch finished with 22 points, five assists, four rebounds, and three steals. Eighteen of the Grizzlies' points came from Bowen, who added 14 rebounds and two steals.
For Widefield, junior Charisse Fairley scored 20 points and sophomore Aaliyah Ricketts added 17. The two combined to go 7 for 8 from the 3-point line.
Mesa Ridge held only a five-point lead at halftime before pulling away.
Discovery Canyon 53, Cheyenne Mountain 47
At Discovery Canyon: Sophomore Ashten Prechtel and senior Emma List combined for all but three of the Thunder's 53 points as Discovery Canyon (11-7, 7-2 5A/4A Pikes Peak) beat Cheyenne Mountain (8-10, 4-5).
Prechtel scored 30 points, while List finished with 20 of her own.
Cheyenne Mountain was led by freshman Selena Vargas, who finished with 11 points.
Discovery Canyon has won seven of its last eight games.
Air Academy 43, Sand Creek 20
At Air Academy: Pikes Peak 4A No. 2 Air Academy (16-2, 9-0 5A/4A Pikes Peak) remained undefeated in league play by stifling Sand Creek (8-10, 3-6).
Senior Katelin Gallegos finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds and junior Mary Parchinski added 10 points in the win for Air Academy.
After starting the season 1-2, Air Academy hasn't lost since a defeat to Pueblo South on Dec. 6.
Sierra 83, Woodland Park 39
At Sierra: The Pikes Peak 4A No. 1 Stallions (15-3, 11-0 4A Colorado Springs Metro) cruised to victory over Woodland Park (5-13, 0-11).
Sierra outscored Woodland Park by 12 points in the second quarter on the way to a 17-point halftime lead, and the Stallions scored 34 points in the fourth quarter.
Sierra hasn't lost since Dec. 16, when the Stallions fell to Sand Creek. Since then, Sierra has won 12 games in a row.
Discovery Canyon 51, Cheyenne Mountain 45
At Discovery Canyon: The middle two frames belonged to the Thunder as Discovery Canyon (8-10, 4-5 5A/4A Pikes Peak) beat Cheyenne Mountain (7-11, 3-6).
Discovery Canyon outscored Cheyenne Mountain 12-6 in the second quarter and 14-10 in the third quarter before hanging on from there.
Junior Seth Clawson finished with 18 points and senior Josh Umiamaka scored 11 in the win for Discovery Canyon.
Widefield 76, Mesa Ridge 66
At Mesa Ridge: With the game tied at 50 entering the fourth quarter, Widefield (11-6, 7-3 4A Colorado Springs Metro) scored 26 points in the final frame on the way to the victory over Mesa Ridge (12-6, 8-3).
Senior Caleb Stewart had 17 points, senior Dylan Mileto added 12 and junior Deven Nelson finished with 11 points and seven rebounds in the loss for Mesa Ridge.
Air Academy 4, Standley Lake 1
At Sertich: Air Academy (3-10) got its third win of the season on the strength of goals from four scorers in the win over Standley Lake (2-10).
Anthony Ciolli and Dalton Giesbrecht both got their sixth goals on the season, and Aaron Ortiz and William MacGuire had the other two markers for the Kadets. Goalie Logan Kucharski was resolute, coming up with 35 saves for Air Academy.
The Kadets scored two goals within a minute of each other in the second period.
