Highlights from Wednesday's high school sports scene around the Pikes Peak region.
Palmer Ridge 10, TCA 4
At Palmer Ridge: The Bears scored three runs in both of the first two innings to jump all over The Classical Academy.
Carson Saabye led the way for Palmer Ridge (2-0) with two triples, a double and three RBIs, and Sara Lynch added a two-run triple.
Lynch also pitched four innings, giving up three runs on three hits, and Sam Patterson pitched three scoreless innings to finish it up for the Bears.
TCA (0-2) scored three runs in the third inning, and one in the fourth.
Vista Ridge 9, Palmer 6
At Vista Ridge: The Wolves totaled seven runs in the second and third innings to erase a two-run deficit and move to 3-0.
Chloe Ewing went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and Aubrey Martinez and Alexia DeJong each added an RBI and two runs scored for Vista Ridge.
Ewing also pitched 42/3 innings of scoreless ball, striking out seven.
Palmer (0-3) scored five times in the top of the third to take a 6-4 lead, but the pitching couldn't hold up.
Mountain View 10, Discovery Canyon 7
At Discovery Canyon: This will be a tough loss for the Thunder to stomach, as it took a 7-0 lead in the second inning, only to watch its defense let the game slip away.
Discovery Canyon (3-3) committed six errors, which led to eight unearned runs. Thunder pitcher Corah Price gave up 12 hits, but only two earned runs while striking out seven over six innings.
Gabbi Rathmann led the Thunder offense with three hits.
Lewis-Palmer 10, Mitchell 0
At Lewis-Palmer: The Rangers scored four times in both the first and fourth innings to end this game in five.
Lewis-Palmer improves to 1-2, while Mitchell falls to 1-3.
Pueblo Centennial 15, Sand Creek 3
At Sand Creek: The Scorpions battled back after giving up four runs in the first, and only trailed 4-3 after two innings. But a four-run third and a six-run fourth blew the game open.
Hannah Williamson had three hits for Sand Creek (0-2).
Palmer Ridge 12, Fossil Ridge 0
At Palmer Ridge: Two days after defeating Regis Jesuit 1-0, the Bears showed their offensive explosiveness, scoring 10 times in the first half to blow out the Sabercats and improve to 2-0.
Shannon Snediker tallied three goals and two assists, and Emily Munn, Kayla Clark and Jordyn Ray-Isner each added two goals for Palmer Ridge.
Coronado 4, Fountain Valley 3
At Fountain Valley: Coronado No. 3 singles James Boehlke was victorious in three sets to lead the Cougars, who picked up the team win despite losing in both Nos. 1 and 2 singles.
Coronado got straight-set wins from No. 1 doubles Mark Landolfi and Reagan Bole, No. 2 doubles Reilly Fredell and Tucker Travins, and No. 3 doubles Jason Mackay and Grayson Graham.
No stats were provided for the Danes.
CSCS 4, Harrison 3
At Harrison: The Lions got victories from No. 2 singles Peter Beck and No. 3 singles Jason Liu, as well as No. 1 doubles Vincent Shi and Elijah Siu. The No. 2 doubles team of Tommy Wang and John Chen also won for CSCS.

Sierra 2, Thornton 1
At Thornton: The Stallions scored two first-half goals and held on to open their season with a nonconference win in 4A play.
